Gypsy moths are back

Gypsy moths have, once again, returned to Catawba Island. The island was sprayed about ten years ago in hopes that the moths wouldn’t come back, but there have been sightings of decaying in the tops of blue spruce trees which is a sign of the return of the moths.

Crews to survey Portage River to find sea lampreys
