Danbury boys notch first win of the season

Fostoria St. Wendelin outscored the Lakers, 34-10, in the first half on its way to a 57-32 win over Danbury.

Nick Shumaker led all scorers with 14 points and Brady Rutter chipped in with 10. Zak Miller had 12 to lead the Lakers and Chance Mackall finished with eight.

 

 

Gibsonburg 72, Danbury 31

The Golden Bears controlled the game throughout, taking a 26-8 lead after one quarter in its 72-31 victory over Danbury.

Guard Isaih Arriaga led all scorers with 13 points, teammate Matt Tille finished with 11 and Adam Copley and Andrew Cantrell scored 10 and nine points, respectively.

 

Danbury 64, Bettsville 24

The Lakers led, 16-2, after one quarter, and 38-10 at halftime in their first victory of the season, a 64-24 win over Bettsville.

Dylan Buckley had 19 points to lead all scorers and Zak Miller finished with 12 points.

The boys return to action Friday when they host St. Joseph CC, who is 5-2 on the season.
