Lady Redskins defeat St. Mary’s in tennis

The Lady Redskins tennis team defeated Sandusky St. Mary’s 4-1 in Port Clinton Tuesday afternoon.  This brings their record to 5-1 (2-0 in SBC).

Lexi McCabe (SM) def. Eryn Binder (PC) 6-3, 6-3

Tiffany Colston & Morgan McGlothlin (PC) def. Dani Parrish & Marie Szepzecha (SM) 6-2, 6-0
Libby Showalter & Taylor Steyer (PC) def. Mary Fanning & Kayla Roesch (SM) 6-0, 6-0

Coach Lindsay Smith said, “There were some very competitive singles matches.  Kelsey was able to stay mentally tough to get the win at 1 singles.  Alyssa fought hard to come back after losing the first set.  We were very impressed with her ability to turn around the momentum.  Our doubles teams both were strong tonight.”

PC JV won 3-0 with wins by Molly Haberman, Emma Young and Kassidy Mahler.

PC is home on Wednesday against Fostoria (OTCA Coaches Tournament) and at Perkins on Thursday.
