Redskins Volleying for the Cure Thursday

Tuesday the Lady Redskins volleyball team was in action against the Lady Pirates of Perkins. It was parents’ night and the girls honored their parents for all of their support this season. 

In Varsity action, the Lady Redskins lost 3 close games, 19-25, 13-25, 18-25. Sophomore Marissa Day and Sydney Alexander led the way for the Lady Redskins. Alexander finished the night with 5 points off of the serve and six kills. Day tallied five points off of the serve, three solo blocks, six kills, and nine digs. 

The JV team fell in two games, 16-25, 16-25. Chloe Cook served well for the. Lady Redskins and Abigail Wuersig was strong defensively.

The Lady Redskins are back in action Thursday at home against Huron. They will be having their Volley for the Cure event with all proceeds benefiting the Susan G. Komen breast cancer awareness foundation. Any supporter wearing pink will be admitted for free.
