The Oak Harbor Pee Wee squad consists of 5th and 6th grade girls. There are 19 girls on the squad. They are coached by Shelly Schultz and Erika Ager, and this is second year of the Pee Wee Squad. The girls try out in the spring and then begin practicing a competition routine in the summer and prepare material to cheer at the Oak Harbor Youth Football games in the fall.
Last week the girls were one of five Pee Wee Squads at the Nancy Leaser Invitational in Oak Harbor and they took first place. They placed second place on Nov. 9 at the Woodmore competition and they will compete again on Feb. 15 at Cheer for a Cure competition in Genoa.
