Port Clinton Lady Redskins won their 7th consecutive match in action at Star Lanes at the Harbor in Port Clinton Friday defeating Woodmore 2207-1984.
Alysia Zoeller led the Lady Redskins with games of 192-153. Reilly Wittman added 141-191 and Sam Stroupe 147-156. Courtney Burner rolled 195-187 for Woodmore and Emily Paul added 172-138.
“All the players seemed flat today,” said Coach Bob Black, “probably a combination of vacation and weather. They have to learn to focus on every shot in practice and matches as they are all important. Mentally, as a team we just weren’t into the match. We did get 8 players into the match but we probably won’t be able to do that much anymore.”
Woodmore boys defeated the Redskin boys for the second time 2762-2604.
Jacob Reed led the Redskins with 168-223, Darryl Trent 154-208, Dave Wilburn 181-167 and Cameron Bice 160-183. Tylor Crump led Woodmore with 215-198. Jay Conner added 173-191 and Austin Willis rolled 144-214.
“Our boys are struggling,” said Coach Black. “Our biggest problem is inconsistency in shot making. We do well in practice but it isn’t carrying over into matches. I need to do a better job in practices of preparing them for matches.”
