Danbury girls sit at .500 in the league

Danbury slowly built their lead over the course of the game before pulling away in the fourth quarter of their 31-23 victory over Maumee Valley Country Day. Holding a 23-19 lead after three quarters, the Lakers outscored the Hawks, 8-4, in the final period to get the win. 

Danbury is now 5-5 in the Toledo Area Athletic Conference. Megan Stephens led all scorers with 12 points and Erin Lavelle chipped in with seven.

Cardinal Stritch 35, Danbury 30

Down six points at halftime, Danbury was unable to make a run in the second half as Cardinal Stritch defeated the Lakers, 35-30, in Toledo Area Athletic Conference action. Trailing 18-12, Danbury cut the deficit to 27-23 after three quarters but could not complete the rally.

Erin Lavelle scored a game-high 12 points and Cassidy Rhodes finished with nine.
