On March 1 and 2, Avery’s Café in Marblehead will be holding a benefit bake sale. The hours of the bake sale are 7 a.m.-3 p.m. each day, or until all items are sold. All proceeds will go for The Children's Cardiomyopathy Foundation. Avery’s owners Josie and Scott Kluding’s grandson, manager Michelle and Eric Nowak’s son Charlie, is affected by the disease.
The Children's Cardiomyopathy Foundation (CCF) is a national, non-profit organization focused on pediatric cardiomyopathy, a chronic disease of the heart muscle. CCF is dedicated to accelerating the search for cures while improving diagnosis, treatment, and quality of life for children affected by cardiomyopathy. The hope is that one day every affected child can be cured to live a full and active life. “A Cause for Today…A Cure for Tomorrow” is their motto.
