ICS celebrates V.I.P.s

Father John Missler processes into the church during the school’s annual "VIP Day" Mass which honors those that stand beside us through life. 

The hallways were a buzz on Friday, Sept.  27 at Immaculate Conception School as many V.I.P.s arrived. The day was set aside as the school’s annual “V.I.P. Day” . V.I.Ps at ICS are honored guests of the students who were invited and recognized for the love and support they give throughout the school year.  V.I.Ps are parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, and special friends.

ICS focuses on parents

Last Friday the fourth graders at Immaculate Conception School had a very special visitor. Judge Kathleen Giesler stopped in to Mrs. Jacki Brown’s classroom to tell the students about Ottawa County’s upcoming Parents’ Week and the writing contest among area 4th grade students. Ottawa County’s Parents’ Week is Oct. 20 through Oct. 26 this year.

ICS students recognize International Day of Peace

Students at Immaculate Conception School have thought long and hard about the importance of peace this month. The students were able to spend Sept. 10th at Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial and truly spend some time reflecting and giving thanks for the gift of Peace. So it is only fitting that the students celebrate Sept. 21st , International Day of Peace, or as it is sometimes referred, World Peace Day. Sept. 21st is dedicated to world peace, the end to war, and an end to violence of any sort.
