Riverview trick or treat October 26

An Ottawa County Halloween tradition will celebrate its 14th year, Ottawa County Riverview Healthcare Campus (Nursing Home) will open its doors to the public for Riverview’s annual Trick or Treat Night, Sunday October 26, 6-7:30 p.m.

Little ghost and ghouls are invited to trick or treat at the door of over100 residents (children 12 and under please).  “This is a win a win for both Riverview and the community. It gives families a safe, well-lit, warm place to trick or treat, and our residents have a ball getting to see all the different costumes. It is something that they may have enjoyed in their own home and we are happy we are able to provide the experience right here in our building,” states Ottawa County Riverview Healthcare Campus Administrator, Kendra German.

Senator Gardner Hosts Oak Harbor’s Micah Mensing at Statehouse

Oak Harbor High School senior Micah Mensing joined hundreds of FFA members throughout Ohio at a special legislative event at the Statehouse Wednesday.   Mensing, District 1 FFA President, was hosted by Ottawa County Senator Randy Gardner on a brief tour of the Statehouse and a visit to the Senate chambers.

The seventh grade team at Oak Harbor Middle School has nominated several students as Sensational September Students. 

Stephen Reaper was nominated by Mr. McKitrick. “Stephen has started off the school year with the energy and willingness to participate in math class. Stephen’s actions have made a loud announcement of his intentions to succeed this school year. Keep it up,” said Mr. McKitrick.
