Oak Harbor falls to Ottawa-Glandorf, 34-17

Ultimately, Oak Harbor’s mistakes did them in.

Despite hanging with Ottawa-Glandorf for much of the game, four Rocket turnovers were the difference in their 34-17 loss to the Titans on Friday at the Launchpad. 

Oak Harbor raced out to a 10-3 lead after running back Andrew Heberling scored on a 65-yard touchdown run midway thru the second quarter, but Ottawa-Glandorf responded by scoring 21 unanswered points, taking a 17-10 lead into the half before scoring on the first possession of the third quarter to go ahead 24-10.

Danbury looks to get over the hump

Last season, the Danbury Lakers struggled to a 3-7 season, but were quite close to going 5-5, losing two games in gut-wrenching fashion. This year, head coach Bryan Dudash is hoping his offense can continue to put up points and that the defense can improve and hold its opponents in check.

The defense, more than anything, will be instrumental to Danbury’s success this year as the Lakers trying to establish themselves as one of the top teams in the Toledo Area Athletic Conference. For the past three years, Danbury has been able to consistently put up points, but it’s been defensively where they’ve struggled.
