Port Clinton High School will have presale tickets for Friday night’s homecoming game against Willard Wednesday-Friday from 7:15 a.m.-2:45 p.m. in the main office at the high school.

All presale tickets, students and adults, are $5. Tickets at the gate Friday night will be $6.

If it were not for the spread formations and the new turf of Bassett’s Field, long time Redskin fans might have thought they were caught back in time to the 1970’s when the two schools were known for rugged games between two blue collar factory towns, fighting for supremacy in the Great Lakes League with no love lost for one another.


Panthers too much for Lakers

For Danbury, week three of the football season eerily looked like week two. The Lakers, once again, were slow to start and found themselves in a 14-0 hole in the first quarter.  For the second straight week, the young Lakers responded with a long touchdown drive to get back in the game. Justin Tibbles found Jared Koenig from two yards out to cut the score to 14-6 and give the Lakers momentum.
