Lakers shock Cadets 32-13

Early in the season the Danbury Lakers got off to slow starts on the road and with the long trip to Hilltop before them, fans had to wonder how the team would respond. In a sign of the young team maturing, the Lakers were ready from the start. “We were as energized and ready to play as I have seen us all year,” said Coach Keith Mora. That readiness resulted in the Lakers shocking playoff bound Hilltop, 32-13.

Redskins can’t find magic against Fliers

The Port Clinton Redskins, coming off of consecutive contests with game winning field goals could not find that magic touch for the third straight week and fell to the Clyde Fliers 37-21. The loss finds the Redskins as one of four SBC teams with one loss with two weeks to go. All four teams control their own destiny and will share the SBC title if they win out. However, it is not possible for all four to do this.
