Immaculate Conception Preschool graduates 24

On Wednesday, May 20, ICS Preschool held its graduation ceremony. Under the direction of Miss Mary Heschel, the group of 24 sang their hearts out and entertained a full gym of parents, siblings, grandparents, and school mates.  Tunes like a rap version of Itsy Bitsy Spider by the 4 and 5 year olds rocked the house.

ICS educates children on vision


Matt Fink from Realeyes explains to the ICS Preschool and Kindergarten class just how important it is to take care of their eyes.

The Ohio Optometric Association Realeyes program was presented at Immaculate Conception School on April 30. Each Realeyes presentation is interactive and fun for the students. The Preschool and Kindergarten students followed the story of Sammy Safe-Eyes as they sang songs and did activities to learn about vision. Using puppets Rhet and Tina, and hands-on activities, the first and second graders learned about the importance of vision health and eye safety through a presentation called, "The Adventures of Rhet and Tina".

ICS says thank you

 

The students and staff of Immaculate Conception School have a lot to be thankful for and are truly counting their blessings.  Because of the generosity of many people in the community, the school’s 29th annual Past, Present, Future auction was a huge success.  The spirit of the event was full of laughter, good food, friendship and most of all the love of a school and its children.  The school auction truly is a vital life line in the providing of necessary funds needed to continue providing a faith filled education in Port Clinton.
