Boating Safely Classes

There will be Boating Safely Classes available through the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 16-12 on Saturday, Sept. 26. It is required by state law for all persons operating a watercraft with ten horsepower or more, born after Jan. 1, 1982, to take a safe boating class.

The classes will be held at Danbury Township hall, 5972 E. Port Clinton Eastern Rd., Marblehead, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. with registration from 7:45-8:15 a.m. The cost for the class is $30 for adults and children ages 12-17 are free.

Marblehead Lighthouse Historical Society

The Marblehead Lighthouse Historical Society general meeting will be held September 16, at 7 p.m. in the activity room of Otterbein North Shore Retirement Center located at 9400 North Shore Blvd. in Lakeside.

For those interested in becoming a member or volunteering at the Marblehead Lighthouse, the on-site Keeper’s House Museum or the new Lifesaving Station Museum please attend. All are welcome.
