Marblehead Lighthouse Historical Society

The Marblehead Lighthouse Historical Society general meeting will be held May 20 at 7 p.m. in the activity room of Otterbein North Shore Retirement Center located at 9400 North Shore Blvd. in Lakeside.
For those interested in becoming a member or volunteering at the Marblehead Lighthouse, the on-site Keeper’s House Museum or the new Lifesaving Station Museum are encouraged to attend. All are welcome.

Heron with an attitude

In celebration of the area’s birding activity, Rafe Goldbach, a Marblehead artist has just unveiled his latest painting “Heron with an attitude.” The 12”X16” acrylic on canvas will be on display, along with several other wildlife and waterscape paintings, at the Crow’s Nest on Buck Road through the Memorial Day weekend.


Marblehead Farmer’s Market

The Village of Marblehead, in conjunction with the Marblehead Merchant Group, is sponsoring a farmer’s market in the village parking lot between Holy Assumption Church and Red Fern Inn and Rocky Point Winery.

The market will be held the second Saturday of the month May through October from 9 a.m.-12 p.m., with the first being Saturday, May 9, the day before Mother’s Day. Those interested in being vendors at the market should contact Kim at 419-967-5344. There will be a variety of items available.
