Leadership Ottawa County 2014 graduates

The Board of Directors and Alumni of Leadership Ottawa County would like to extend a warm congratulation to the graduating class of 2014.  LOC’s annual graduation commenced on Wednesday, May 21, at the CIC Club House to recognize the hard work that this year’s class put in to successfully implement their class project, Pop-Up Talent.

The Graduation ceremony started with social hour, followed by dinner and then a presentation of the class’s project by members of the class.  This year’s class project involved a fundraiser to help support United Way’s Lake Erie Adventure Play Program that encourages creative problem solving skills in child-directed play using recyclable items.  The event was held in April and showcased local celebrity talents where fun was had by all.

During the graduation ceremony, the LOC board presents the annual Leadership Award to a member of the LOC Alumni.  This year’s award goes to Eryn Bauer Sanders – Rural Outreach Coordinator with The Ability Center of Ottawa County  for her incredible and selfless acts of leadership that have helped to improve the lives of individuals and their families with disabilities in rural communities.
