Lady Redskin bowlers’ season ends at districts

The Port Clinton Lady Redskin bowlers’ great season ended at the District Tournament at Interstate Lanes in Rossford on Saturday.

Despite starting with a very food 944 team game, they slipped to 808 and 803 the next two games and then rolled a dismal 921 six game baker that ended their season. They finished fifth behind Coldwater, Napoleon, Bryan and Rossford. The top four teams advance to the state finals.

Cline to continue his football career at Capital University

Port Clinton senior Andrew Cline in a game from last season. Cline, who was instrumental in leading the Redskins to a 7-4 season and a spot in the playoffs last season, has committed to play football at Capital University next fall.

When Andrew Cline wasn't quite sure on where he should attend college, he sought advice from a friend. 

She told Cline to go with his gut, and he did. Now, he feels like he's made a good decision.

Recently, Cline, a Port Clinton senior, chose to take the advice of Mackenzie Stine and went with his gut feeling, committing to play football at Capital University.
