Port Clinton volleyball team loses to Perkins

Port Clinton’s Lady Redskins volleyball varsity lost a tough match Thursday night to the Perkins Pirates, 25-16, 25-10, 25-15. Senior Hannah Sarty served 8 points for the Lady Redskins while senior Ericka Castillo had 10 digs. Sophomore Marissa Day was 24 for 27 on serves received while finishing with 7 digs and 5 kills. Sophomore Taylor Zink had 3 blocks for the Redskins.

Oak Harbor loses to Clyde in volleyball

The Rockets volleyball team was beaten by Clyde in 3 games Thursday evening, 11-25, 13-25, and 11-25.  Every team member contributed, but the highlights of the match were Jordyn Thorp with 6 kills, Ally Bloomer and Annie Quisno each providing 4 kills.  Annie Quisno had 9 assists, and Emma Bergman added 8 assists.  Athena Eli had 21 of 22 good serve receptions attempts and added 16 digs.  

The Varsity will be playing Danbury and Lake this Saturday home.  The JV lost to Clyde in 2 and will be playing Danbury and Lake at Lake on Saturday.

Oak Harbor volleyball

Oak Harbor Varsity Volleyball Team lost in 3 Tuesday night to Huron, 12-25, 5-25, 13-25.  Athena Eli had 10 digs and 20 good serve receptions, Jordyn Thorp had 8 kills.  Kasey Sundermeier hit 100% (8 for 8) from the court providing the Rockets with 3 kills.  Emma Bergman had 5 assists and Annie Quisno had 6 assists.  The JV team lost in against Huron.  The 8th and 7th grade teams both defeated Huron in two.
