Danbury’s winter sports athletes were well represented on the Toledo Area Athletic Conference’s 2012-13 All-Conference Teams (all-academic award winners are junior or senior letter-winners with a 3.25 grade point average or better).  Individuals were recognized in the sports of boys’ and girls’ basketball.  Below is a list of Danbury’s All-TAAC selections:

Castalia State Fish Hatcheryoffers controlled trout fishing

A half-mile section of Cold Creek at Castalia State Fish Hatchery in Erie County will be open to a limited number of anglers on selected dates for controlled trout fishing, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR).

Controlled trout fishing is offered by the ODNR Division of Wildlife at the Castalia State Fish Hatchery from May 6-Nov. 29. No weekend or holiday fishing is available. Anglers interested in this event must apply online and pay a non-refundable $3 application fee from March 1-31 in order to be eligible for a random drawing. Applicants can apply at www.wildohio.com.


Women’s health seminar “A Day for Me” at Magruder Hospital

The eighteenth annual "A Day for Me" program, a free women's health seminar, is scheduled for Sunday, April 7, from Noon to 4 p.m., at Magruder Hospital’s Conference Center. Registration for the event begins at noon in the hospital main lobby. Magruder Hospital, the Magruder Hospital Auxiliary and Business and Professional Women’s Club are sponsoring this year's seminar. The theme for this year’s seminar is, “A Work in Progress.”
