Marblehead K of C donates to Danbury Food Pantry

The St. Joseph/Marblehead Knights of Columbus raised $1000 for the Danbury Food Pantry with their Clambake fundraiser that was held last October.

Fish Fry Fridays celebrate Lenten season

Another busy weekend is ahead, in spite of the weather. Saturday night is the annual Magruder Hospital Charity Ball at Catawba Island Club. It is always a grand affair. Mike Schenk at CIC told me that they are trying something different this year. The Charity Ball will be a “Strolling Supper” with five food stations and lots of open seating. However, if you wish to reserve a table, call CIC TODAY to do so. They will be serving carved meat, mashed potatoes, perch and salmon along with a salad bar and dessert bar. Enjoy the Ball. We will have photos as usual next week.

Baumann Auto Group donates $100,000 to 10 local charities

The Baumann Auto Group has a long history of giving to local charities, and on February 13 that tradition continued. A $100,000 donation was given to 10 local charities. Each of the following charities was given $10,000 on behalf of all the Baumann Auto Group employees: Liberty Center of Fremont, Village House of Fremont, Sandusky Co. YMCA, Back To The Wild of Castalia, Safe Harbour of Sandusky, Ruth Ann’s House of Port Clinton, Genoa Athletic Boosters, Morrison House of Tiffin, First Step of Seneca, Sandusky & Wyandot Counties & Norwalk Area Food Bank.
