Thank you from Edgewood

The residents and staff of Edgewood Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center would like to thank the following businesses for their contributions to National Nursing Home Week. The week was full of many fun and exciting activities that would not have been possible without the help of these local businesses.

Lighthouse Conservancy thank you

Dear Readers,

We’d like to extend a thank you to everyone who visited our “Bring Back the Light!” booth at the Walleye Festival. So many of you voiced your support for our efforts to restore the old Port Clinton Lighthouse and place this unique structure on the waterfront.

We also wish to publicly thank members of the Port Clinton City Council for voting unanimously to urge the city to work with us to find a home for the lighthouse on the waterfront and to develop on a timeline to get this done.

Beach Clean-up

The City of Port Clinton, the Port Clinton Recreation Department and the OSS Solid Waste District would like to thank all residents who participated in the Port Clinton Beach & Lakeview Park Clean-up on Saturday, April 20.  Thirty-eight volunteers consisting of Ottawa County residents, civic group and youth group members helped pick up 2.86 tons of litter and debris.  Materials picked up from the beach and park areas included items such as trash, drift wood and fallen branches.

The City of Port Clinton Mayor Vincent P. Leone is grateful to everyone who volunteered for the event.

“It is always great to see citizen involvement in helping to keep our City clean and I would like to thank each and everyone.  I offer a special thanks to Kiwanis for the donation of picnic tables,” said Mayor Leone.

Thank you to all volunteers for their time, services and efforts in helping to keep the Port Clinton City Beach and Lakeview Park clean.  We would also like to thank Republic Services for donating a dumpster and hauling away trash collected during the event.
