They are catching “Hogs” out on Lake Erie right now!!! Ron Keller (pictured on left) of Marblehead nailed two 1- pounders in three hours North of Kelley’s Island last week while fishing with friends. Dave Hessel of Oak Harbor caught a 12 pounder northwest of Niagara Reef last weekend.

This Friday, the Port Clinton Knights of Columbus will hold their Monthly Fish Fry at Denny Bergeman Hall at 109 E. Perry Street from 5-8 p.m. They will continue on the second Friday of each month through September. These guys know how to make great perch! State Representative Dennis Murray will hold a Town Hall Meeting this Monday, June 15 at 7 p.m. at the Marblehead Fire Department. Dennis is anxious to hear from his constituents on their thoughts State and local issues. Congratulations to Mari Monaco, the tennis pro at Catawba Island Club, who learned recently that she made the Dean’s List at Ohio Dominican University for her outstanding 3.75 grade point average last spring. Congratulations also go out to Park McRitchie and his crew aboard JEB who took first in Class at last weekend’s Mills Trophy Race. Mark Sprenger and his crew onboard Thin Ice took second in their class. Other participants included Dr. Pete Vanden Berg on Wooden Shoes (4th in class) and yours truly on Ghost Writer (4th in Class). The Oak Harbor High School Class of 1989 is holding its 20th Class Reunion on July 18. They are trying to reach all of their classmates. The Port Clinton Elk’s Lodge is once again hosting its Sunday morning breakfasts from 8 a.m. to Noon this Summer. You won’t go away hungry and the cost is only $6. This Sunday, June 14, the Brickstreet Strummers will entertain the Oak Harbor Log Cabin crowd starting at 6:30 p.m. This 12-member group based out of Pemberville specializes in Mountain Dulcimer music. They have been together for 8 years. The Friends of Port Clinton Parks will hold the Father’s Day Pancake Breakfast at Lakeview Park on Saturday, June 20 from 9-11:30 a.m. They are also planning a city-wide yard sale/flea market on August 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For space reservation call Rose at 419-734-4497. Attention All Golfers!!!
