McCarthy’s donates books to Champions for Children

McCarthy’s Restaurant in downtown Port Clinton offered a 10 percent discount on the entire food bill in exchange for a children’s books throughout the month of November. Champions for Children is a licensed after-school program designed for families of the Port Clinton School District in grades kindergarten through six. Children who participate choose from a wide range of activities including sports, arts and crafts, games, puzzles, educational materials, computers and movies. A special time is set aside for homework, reading or quiet academic activities each day.
McCarthy's Restaurant is open Tuesday through Sunday at 101 Madison St. in Port Clinton.
