Muse Ensemble to Perform on Sunday

The Musical Arts Series at Firelands has announced its 2008-2009 concert series. The premier concert will be performed by the Muse Ensemble, a string trio with piano in a concert of chamber music. The concert will be held at the Firelands Presbyterian Church, 2626 East Harbor Road, in Port Clinton on Sunday, October 12 at 3 p.m. and is sponsored by Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick and Jack Hilbert; Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home and Miller Boat Line.

Admission is $15 and tickets are available at the door. Students are admitted free.

Other concerts in the 2008-2009 series include: November 14, 7:30 p.m., Patrick Ball – Theater of Legend, Celtic harp and story; January 18, 3 p.m., Renaissance City Winds, Pittsburgh’s premier woodwind quintet; February 22, 3 p.m., Kate Boyd Brilliant piano virtuoso;  March 8, 7 p.m., Clevewest Consorte, A montage of music and dance;  April 4, 7:30 p.m., John Hines, Bass Baritone, Celebrated soloist from the University of Northern Iowa performing his Russian Tour program and  May 16, 7:30 p.m., The Gene Parker Jazz Ensemble (The Shirley V. Hany Memorial Concert), The return of a MAS favorite.
