U.S. House Appropriates Funds for Camp Perry Barracks

WASHINGTON, D.C.  – The U.S. House of Representatives, with strong support from U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur (OH-9), today approved a continuing resolution that includes $2 million for much-needed housing facilities at Camp Perry.

“We have fought long and hard for passage of this appropriation for improvements at Camp Perry,” said Congresswoman Kaptur, a senior member of the defense appropriations subcommittee.

The appropriation for Camp Perry will upgrade the Army National Guard housing stock by replacing a number of World War II-era hutmets with a modern 80-bed barracks.  “This is a significant commitment, considering Camp Perry’s increasing importance as a training facility,” Kaptur said
