Salvation Army looking for bell ringers

The Salvation Army needs volunteers to ring the bell for the “Christmas in July” Red Kettle event.  The two- day event will take place on Friday, July 24th and Saturday, July 25th from 10 a.m. -8 p.m. There will be three kettle sites set up with volunteers needs at each site. The sites involved are: Community Market – Port Clinton, Kroger’s and The Jet Express. All proceeds will go the The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign.

All proceeds from the Red Kettle campaign are used directly to serve the needs of Port Clinton and surrounding communities with rent/mortgage assistance, utility payments, security deposits, as well as food, prescription medicine, clothing, and emergency shelter, which is much needed in today’s economy.

If interested in ringing the bell for “Christmas in July” or making a donation, contact Maureen Saponari – 419-732-2769, 1854 E. Perry Street, Suite #800, Port Clinton, OH  43452.
