Robert Gevertz and Lee Ann Gevertz of El Paso, Texas, along with Ronnie and Leah Bell of Lubbock, Texas, are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Gevertz, to Matthew Kovach, son of Jim and Laura Kovach, of Marblehead.
The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Coronado High School, a 2008 graduate of the University of North Texas, and will graduate in August 2010 with a master's degree in Zoology from Miami University.

Aubrey Lee Nighswander and Justin Phelps have announced their engagement.
Nighswander, of Annapolis, Md., is the daughter of Dave and Marty Nighswander, of Port Clinton. She is a 2005 graduate of Port Clinton High School, a 2009 graduate of St. John’s College in Annapolis, Md., and currently works as a chiropractic assistant. Following the wedding, she will pursue her doctorate of naturopathy at NUHS in Chicago.
The groom, son of Woody Phelps and Lynn Berens, of Cininnati, is also an Annapolis resident. He is a 2007 St. John’s College graduate and he is working on a master’s degree from American University in Washington, D.C. Phelps is currently employed as a computer analyst with I-Jet in Annapolis.

David and Susan Blankenbeker of Port Clinton are announcing the engagement of their son Andrew Blankenbeker, of Gahanna, to Meghan McPherson, also of Gahanna. Meghan is the daughter of Mark McPherson and Holly McFarland of Gahanna. The groom is a graduate of Port Clinton High School and Bowling Green State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in interpersonal communication with a minor in sales. He is employed at Verizon in Columbus. The bride is a graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School and Bowling Green State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing. She is employed at Edwards Communities of Columbus. A July 30 ceremony is planned.

Bethany L. Grigsby, daughter of Terry and Laurie Grigsby of Janesville, Wis., and Ryan M. Bergeman, son of Dennis and Jeannine Bergeman, Port Clinton, are engaged.
Grigsby is a 2001 Graduate of F.J. Turner and a 2005 and 2007 graduate of UW-Whitewater where she earned her bachelor of business administration, finance and master of science in education and school business administration. She is currently employed at JPMorgan in Columbus.
Ryan is a 2001 Edison High School and 2006 Ashland graduate with a bachelor of arts in sports communication. He is currently enrolled in the Bachelor Plus Program at Ashland University earning his master’s degree in education
A July 31, 2010, wedding in Janesville, Wis., is planned.
