James Michael Ruddock, 74, of Catawba Island, died Saturday, March 6, at Riverview Healthcare Campus in Oak Harbor where he had been a patient since January of 2006 following a tragic fall and several brain surgeries. He was born Feb. 17, 1936, in Fremont, the son of Charles and Louise (Turner) Ruddock. Jim was stricken with polio at the age of 16 months; however he did not let this handicap keep him from participating in life’s activities.

Billy Keith Halblaub, 82, passed away on March 6 in his home following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the First United Church of Christ, 802 Prairie St., Marblehead. The Rev. Kay Mooney Cox will officiate. Burial will follow at Sackett Cemetery in Danbury Township.

Doris Jeanne Ruckman Roberts, 70, of Oak Harbor, died Saturday, Feb. 27, at Heartland of Waterville
Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, with family present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, at the funeral home by Pastor Chuck Kaylor. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
