Where in the world are Terra alums, what are they doing and what’s going on at Terra these days? 

Well, the college will soon be publishing a quarterly alumni newsletter with updates on grads, campus programs and events. 

Earlier this year, Terra Community College and its Foundation office sent more than 6,000 update surveys to graduates from the past 40 years. And while the response was adequate, college officials are now reaching out to those who did not return their questionnaire.

If you’re planning to attend college in the 2009-2010 academic year, put “Completing the FAFSA” at the top of your to-do list.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is vital to the process of college affordability and should be completed as early as possible by anyone who will be attending college beginning in August 2009.
Because the FAFSA is so important – and considered intimidating by some – the financial aid staff at Terra Community College is offering free FAFSA workshops for their students, prospective students and anyone else who needs the assistance.

Early Intervention is offering free developmental screenings for children birth to three years living in Ottawa County on January 20 from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Ottawa County Board of MRDD, 235 N. Toussaint South Road, Oak Harbor. Participants need to schedule an appointment by calling 1-866-755-444- ext. 3139.

If unable to make the scheduled time, call 567-262-3139 to reschedule a time for an individual appointment.

The children of Jefferson Elementary School performed in the living room at Edgewood Manor, as the residents watched with smiles on their faces.  Not only did they sing many well-known Christmas carols, but the Bell Choir brightened the morning as their sounds echoed through the hallways.  “I just love it when the children come” said Betty Adams, an Edgewood Resident, “They are so cute, and they do such a good job, it makes my day!”
