Oak Harbor falls to Ottawa-Glandorf, 34-17

Ultimately, Oak Harbor’s mistakes did them in.

Despite hanging with Ottawa-Glandorf for much of the game, four Rocket turnovers were the difference in their 34-17 loss to the Titans on Friday at the Launchpad. 

Oak Harbor raced out to a 10-3 lead after running back Andrew Heberling scored on a 65-yard touchdown run midway thru the second quarter, but Ottawa-Glandorf responded by scoring 21 unanswered points, taking a 17-10 lead into the half before scoring on the first possession of the third quarter to go ahead 24-10.

Ribbon cutting for No Time Detailing

No Time Detailing would like to announce their grand opening at 10655 SR 2 in Oak Harbor. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Tuesday August 19. No Time Detailing is owned by Julie Smith, and they specialize in detailing of boats, cars, trucks, RV's and more.

Oak Harbor Chamber Foundation

The Oak Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the establishment of The Oak Harbor Chamber Foundation to assist in the betterment of the community through charitable activities. Their mission is to support and advance the economic, cultural and educational interests of the community of Oak Harbor, by serving as a vehicle to fund further related projects and/or initiate projects that:

• Promote a strong local economy
• Promote development of the community
• Provide service to the benefit of area citizens
• Serve as a vehicle for research, planning and community education

The Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 charitable organization, and all donations are tax deductible. The most common way to donate is with a bequest made through one's Will or other estate planning document.  A designated dollar amount, a specific property or account, or a percentage of your estate can be made.
