Colston reaches 1,000 career points

On a night when senior Tiffany Colston reached the 1,000-point milestone, it was defense that propelled Port Clinton to a 41-21 victory over rival Oak Harbor last week.

The Redskins, who held the Rockets to single digits in each quarter, pushed their lead from 9-8 after one quarter to 19-10 at halftime. From there, Port Clinton, which is now 16-4 overall and 10-3 in the Sandusky Bay Conference, outscored Oak Harbor, 22-11, in the second half.

Tiffany Colston’s 1000th point

Tiffany Colston reached a monumental goal in her high school athletics career last Tuesday night when she scored her 1000th point. On the same night, Redskin and Rocket girls came together to help fight cancer. Selling t-shirts, 50/50 raffle tickets and having a bake sale, they together raised $616.

OH boys fall to Clyde, 46-37

Holding a two-point lead at halftime, Oak Harbor was outscored by 18 points in the third quarter as Clyde rallied to win, 46-37, in their Sandusky Bay Conference matchup.

The Rockets (5-12, 0-10 SBC), who led 17-15 at halftime, were outscored, 20-2, in the third quarter by the Fliers, who led 35-19 after three quarters. Oak Harbor did win the fourth quarter, 18-11, to make the final score more respectable.

Deshawn Johnson led the Rockets with 11 points and Andre Ramsey, Tyler Sievert and Andy Rathbun finished with six points apiece.

Colin Rieman led all scorers with 14 points and Derek Gray had 13 for Clyde (11-3, 6-2), which has won seven of its last eight games.
