Neighbors in the Jamestown area of Marblehead enjoyed gathering for a block party in the parking lot of St. John Lutheran Church, Stone and Elliot Streets, on Saturday, Sept. 15.
Smiles, free food, kids’ games, and music by the band The Coincidence greeted all who came.
Earlier this summer St. John offered free ice cream to neighbors at their "Sundaes on Saturday" event.
St. John’s has been in the Jamestown neighborhood for over 125 years. Its 8:45 a.m. Sunday worship service welcomes all and is a destination place for seasonal guests. St. John's Marblehead and St. Paul's Danbury are known on the peninsula for their joint ministry. For more information visit the website at www.sidebysideministry.com.
