Oak Harbor FFA rakes leaves as community service.

On Saturday, Oct. 20h, the Oak Harbor FFA Chapter held their first community service project, “Raking the Leaves.”

From 9a.m. until 12 p.m. the chapter helped out the community by raking leaves for residents who may not be able to rake their own yards.  A total of 37 students, including four non- FFA members, participated in this event.  Students split into teams, each led by an FFA Chapter Officer. Between these groups, a total of 65 yards were raked, including two churches. After raking leaves, the students enjoyed pop and pizza as a reward The chapter plans on making this an annual activity.
