Sue Groscost was hired in Dec. 2012 by the Ottawa County Board of Developmental Disabilities (OCBDD) as a Community Employment Coordinator. A Community Employment Coordinator is responsible for finding job openings in the community for people served by the board. Sue will be doing job placement, training and/or coaching and follow up to ensure both employer and employee satisfaction.
Sue, a Port Clinton resident of 18 years, has a degree from the University of Cincinnati in Special Education. She comes to OCBDD from a varied background of working for several local businesses.
The Ottawa County Board of Developmental Disabilities’ mission is, “To ensure the availability of supports to children and adults with developmental disabilities in gaining inclusion in their community. Further, to assist individuals and their families in achieving a life that they establish for themselves.” The OCBDD is excited to emphasize community employment.
