OC Housing offers rental assistance

The Ottawa County Housing Authority in partnership with Ottawa Residential Services Inc. and WSOS, announce that the Tenant Base Rental Assistance application process has opened and is currently accepting applicants.  Applications will be distributed between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

This program is funded through the Ottawa County Community Housing Improvement Program, which is supported by the Ohio Department of Development.  The CHIP is a state-funded program that provides assistance for home repairs, home rehabilitation, foreclosure prevention with mortgage assistance as well as rental assistance.  Ottawa County Commissioners were recently awarded an $80,000 grant to provide rental assistance for up to 18 months for eligible applicants.  

For more information about the TBRA program or to receive an application, call 419-734-7622 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.  

Applications will also be available for pickup at the Ottawa County Housing Authority c/o ORSI, 400 W. Third St., Port Clinton on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between those same hours, or by mail.
