McDougall reappointed to represent Amvets

On Jan. 11, the Honorable Judge Winters swore in Mr. David McDougall, appointing him to represent the AMVETS as a Commissioner on the Ottawa County Veterans Service Commission.

This is Mr. McDougall’s fourth term. He began representing the AMVETS in January 1998. Throughout his 15-year tenure, he has been instrumental in approving over a million dollars in emergency financial assistance to over 2,500 veterans of Ottawa County, as well as their family members. As a strong advocate of the veterans, he has been actively involved in the celebration of county veterans' accomplishments and in the commemoration of their sacrifices. Mr. McDougall is a Vietnam Era Veteran who served honorably in the U. S. Air Force.
