Daffodil Days are under way
Daffodil Days in Ottawa County is just around the corner, and ordering can be done now, organizers say.
The popular fund-raiser is held each year by the American Cancer Society. The bright, cheerful blooms are one of the earliest spring flowers, and are used in the campaign as a symbol of hope.
The deadline for placing and paying for orders is Feb. 21.
Daffodils may be ordered as a bouquet of 10 for $10 each. A 4-inch pot with 3-4 bulbs of mini-daffs is $12. A limited-edition glass etched vase with a bunch of 10 daffodils is $15. The Shar-N-Hope, a 10-inch plush Boyd bear designed exclusively for Daffodil Days, which is sold with a bouquet of blooms, is $25. This same bear can be delivered anonymously to comfort a child in the community for $25 under Project Care. Gifts of Hope anonymously sends bunches of daffodils to cancer patient in hospitals, treatment centers and other locations in our community for a donation of $10 or more.
Any combination of these is now available for ordering, and can be picked up at the following locations:
