The view into Green Drug Store on Madison Street in Port Clinton Friday afternoon at 5:30 p.m., after an accident that occurred a few hours earlier when an automobile came through the front window.
Molly Dodge, one of the owners of Green Drug, said that “everyone is fine. There is just the cleanup and the lost merchandise.”
Tom Johnson of Cleaner and Dryer in Toledo was assessing the situation and assured Dodge that his crew would “have everything secured within a few hours. The store will be able to remain open.”
Green Drug is the oldest continuous running business in Ottawa County. Since 1871 there has been a pharmacy at the same location. Said Dodge, “We have clients that still remember the first owner.”
