Freedom Boat Club has scheduled a celebration of Welcome to the Water on National Marina Day, Saturday, June 8, from 1-4. As part of a nationwide observance, Catawba Island South Marina on Catawba Island and Venetian Marina in Sandusky join Freedom Boat Club in celebrating National Marina Day.
“Welcome to the Water on National Marina Day is a celebration of boating,” said Angelo Hoty. “As families search for fun outdoor activities that everyone can enjoy we want to encourage them to give boating a try. Existing boaters are always ready to celebrate with a day on the water, but on this day we ask them to bring a non-boater out to share the experience. We hope you will visit Venetian Marina, learn about your boating, and enjoy the events we have planned.”
Catawba Island South Marina, Venetian Marina and Freedom Boat Club Welcome to the Water on National Marina Day activities include:
Freedom Boat Club’s Trained Captain’s will teach those new to boating how to successfully dock a boat. A representative from the Coast Guard will also be present to answer any questions. Venetian Marina will also be hosting a Nautical White Elephant Marine Sale.
Welcome to the Water on National Marina Day introduces boating as a safe, family-friendly way to spend their leisure time. Catawba Island South Marina and Venetian Marina are local, environmentally-friendly, and beautiful gateways to on-the-water fun.
Catawba Island Club South Marina and Freedom Boat Club will be hosting Marina Day from 1-4 p.m. at 4422 Barnum Road, Catawba Island 43452.
