On Saturday, June 22, at 11 a.m., Bishop Leonard P. Blair will ordain four men to the priesthood of the Diocese of Toledo at Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral at 2535 Collingwood Boulevard. One of those ordained is Deacon Jeremy Miller, 28, whose home parish is Marblehead St. Joseph.
Miller is a graduate of St. Mary Central Catholic High School in Sandusky, has a Bachelor’s in Philosophy from Xavier University in Cincinnati and a Master’s of Divinity from Mount Saint Mary Seminary of the West in Cincinnati. Deacon Miller served his Pastoral Internship Year at Findlay St. Michael the Archangel and summer assignments at Perrysburg St. Rose and Findlay St. Michael. He quotes Pope John Paul II “The world looks to the priest, because it looks to Jesus! No one can see Christ; but everyone sees the priest, and through him they wish to catch a glimpse of the Lord!” He follows this by saying “If I am privileged to be called to this noble vocation, may I respond generously and faithfully.”
Once ordained Deacon Miller will celebrate a special weekend Mass of Thanksgiving on Sunday, June 23, at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph, Marblehead.
