For the last 5 years Bodi N Balance of Port Clinton has hosted Warrior Fest, a benefit for the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). This year, on July 13, Bodi N Balance has teamed up with Ciao Bella to host the event at the Harbor Lights Landing plaza and have added the Bay Bridge 5K Run/Walk.
Warrior Fest is a benefit rock concert sponsored by local businesses Crosswinds Restaurant and Bar, Lafarge, First National Bank, Jolly Roger, Randy Smith Construction & Roofing, Civilian Marksmanship Program and Wendy’s. Many individuals and members of Bodi N Balance also have donated to the cause of helping our wounded soldiers.
The Bay Bridge 5K Run/Walk is a new addition to Warrior Fest. The entry fees for the run also help to add to the total donated to the WWP. To date more than 80 men, women and children have pre-registered for the inaugural race.
Registration for the race starts at 5:30 p.m.at Bodi N Balance. A shuttle will take runners/walkers to the start point at the end of the Old Bay Bridge. The race begins at 6:30 p.m.
Warrior Fest 2013 will continue at the Harbor Lights Landing plaza on route 53 north. Music by Tribute Star Entertainment will be provided by “Panama”, a Van Halen tribute band. The Land Shark Girls and Ciao Bella will also be contributing to the party and the support of the WWP with promotional items, food and beverages.
The first set will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 at the gate. In advance of the event, Bodi N Balance will be giving away 30 tickets away to the first 30 individuals to call 419-732-1000.
