It has long been said that bikers are very generous to charities that support children, and this year is no different. FriendShip Food Stores teams with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) for the fourth annual motorcycle poker run on Saturday, Aug. 24th at Margaritaville in Sandusky. The ride will begin with the registration and staging of motorcycles at 12 noon. The last bike must be out by 2:30 p.m. The run will proceed from Margaritaville to five Friendship Food Store locations. First stop will be in Port Clinton, then on to Norwalk, Wakeman, Vermilion, and one Sandusky store. All bikes are to return to Margaritaville to turn in their poker hands no later than 4:30 p.m.
While determining the winning hand participants will enjoy music, vendors and a chicken dinne . During this time unique prizes such as beer collectibles, big screen televisions and, electronics will be raffled, and door prizes will be given away. There will be 50/50 raffle .
The proceeds will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. JDRF’s mission is to find a cure for diabetes through research. More than 84 cents of every dollar donated goes directly towards research.

Registration and the purchase of the $20 wristband for the poker run can take place at all FriendShip Food Store locations and Mad River Harley Davidson until Friday, Aug. 23. All wristbands purchased the day of the event will be $25 and available at registration.
