On Saturday, Dec. 7, the Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce in support of the Portage Fire Station put on an Olde Fashion Christmas Celebration for the village of Oak Harbor. Families headed to the Portage Fire Station to enjoy cookies, hot chocolate, a secret gift shop, A Charlie Brown Christmas movie and Santa. Throughout the event about 250 children came through the firehouse to partake in the holiday festivities.
“It’s our way of saying thank you to the community for their continuous support throughout the year,” said Executive Director Valerie Winterfield.
Santa will also be visiting the log cabin in downtown Oak Harbor the next two Fridays, Dec. 13 &20, from 6-8 p.m.
