Port Clinton was busy with holiday festivities on Saturday, Dec. 7. At 2:30 p.m. Santa stopped by the 1812 Food and Spirits inside the historic Island House Hotel. Boys and girls lined up to talk to Santa and Mrs. Claus. Also inside the historic Island House, children from Immaculate Conception School sang Christmas songs to add to the festive ambiance inside the hotel.

The Christmas parade started at 4:30 p.m. with judges Mayor Vince Leone, Jerry Tarolli and Joan Bryden. Receiving first place in the parade was First National Bank, second was Republic Services and third was OSS Waste Management. After the awards, Mayor Leone flipped the switch to light the community Christmas tree.
