The Magruder Hospital Foundation's 60th Annual Charity Ball will take patrons back to their high school prom. On Saturday, Feb. 22, the charity ball committee will transform the Catawba Island Club into "Prom Nite, A Night to Remember."
"People who come to the charity ball this year should expect an evening that will take them back to their high school prom. From the decorations and entertainment to the little surprises, like electing a prom king and queen, it promises to be a fun event," says Kathy Durflinger, Magruder's Vice President of Nursing, who is chairing the event along with her husband, Richard.
This year donations will be used to fund projects through the Magruder Hospital Foundation. The event is open to anyone purchasing a ticket and will begin at 6 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres and cocktails followed by a specially selected sit-down dinner. Local artists “The Junk” will be performing. The Junk is a 5-piece cover band known for an eclectic blend of musical styles covering multiple decades of artists. Additionally, Jeff Goretzki from Rock & Roll Express will be the MC of the event.
Tickets are $120 per couple and $60 per individual and can be purchased at Bassett’s Market, Mary’s Blossom Shoppe, Magruder Hospital Gift Shop, or Croghan Colonial Bank in Oak Harbor. All donations and tickets sales must be made by Friday, Feb. 14. Questions regarding tickets or donations, may be made by calling Kerryn Lockhart at Magruder at 419-734-3131, extension 3105.
