Ida Rupp Public Library in Port Clinton will be hosting a Financial Fitness Fun Fair on April 12, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
A bagged lunch will be available at noon.
The fair offers participants the opportunity to learn about budgets, saving with coupons and identity protection. It is also a way to find out what other financial resources are available in Ottawa County from United Way of Ottawa County, Joan Washburn, Job and Family Services: Ohio Means Jobs, Port Clinton Chamber of Commerce and Terra Community College.
An Accushred truck will be available for shredding private documents, to help protect from identity theft. Tables will be set up for children crafts. Children can decorate their own piggy bank to take home and start their own savings.
This event is made possible by the Smart Investing Grant from FINRA and the American Library Association.
