Emily Theibert, a 10 year old ICS fourth grader, recently donated her hair to Locks of Love for Easter. Emily was inspired to do this act because she heard about a 5 year old girl from Sandusky who has brain cancer. Emily loved her long hair, but the need to help others was greater to her. Emily’s grandma, Terrie Theibert, took her to The Moxie Salon on Perkins Ave. to have the owner, Amanda Stavaskie, cut her hair to donate.
Recently Emily volunteered her time to help her Aunt Jamie Hennig, one of the owners of H&F Racing, to do a Race for a Cure cancer fundraiser.
“She has a heart of gold and puts everyone before herself,” said Terrie of her granddaughter.
