This Memorial Day weekend hosts the second year of the Lake Erie Arty Party in downtown Port Clinton. This public art market will be held Saturday, May 24–Sunday, May 25. The Party will take place at the Clinton House, 106 W. Perry Street, and an adjacent lot, near the corner of Perry and Madison Streets, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
Carolyn Rodenhauser, Event Manager, states, “We are excited to announce the Lake Erie Arty Party. With the growth of Downtown Port Clinton and the Walleye Festival, we think this will be a fun start to downtown Port Clinton’s event season. Last year many of our vendors did very well. This year we have many of last year’s favorite artists already scheduled as well as new talent from throughout the region. We plan to highlight our downtown by creating a public art incubator in a fun and entertaining environment. We look forward to featuring seasoned professionals as well as the up and coming artists.”
The Party will feature artists and vendors with hand-crafted items, repurposed furniture and antiques, as well as snack and food vendors. Event managers are reaching out to visual artists, photographers, food venders, crafters and artistic retailers. Space is limited, but space is still available.
