Wolcott Keepers House had a busy clean up day

Friends of the Keeper's House and Boy Scout Troop 331 installed new carpet in the Museum/Gift Shop, washed windows, picked up pine cones and tree limbs in the yard, and mulched the flower beds on clean-up day last Saturday. They also cleaned the inside of the House, preparing it for a fresh coat of paint. 

Members of Scout Troop 331 assisting were Gilbert Marez, Nolan Johnson, Nate Borgio and leaders Curt Laubner and Ray Johnson.  Keeper's House friends participating were Phil Edwards, Sally Heximer, Rich Vedell, Nel Adcock, Suzy Dunham Wittenmyer, Rich Norgard, Jim Blm, Pat O'Keefe, Dick Taylor, and Bill and Sharon Coder.  

The summer season for the Benjamin Wolcott Keeper's House, restored 1820's home of the Marblehead Lighthouse's first keeper, starts on Tuesday, June 10.  Hours are 1-5 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and every Saturday from June 14, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. The house is located 2 1/2 miles southwest of the Marblehead Lighthouse at 9999 East Bayshore Road.
