Community Chorus to perform for the Fourth of July

Those who love to sing and love patriotic music are invited to join the Community Chorus to celebrate the Fourth of July. Mr. Gregory Fox, retired Port Clinton City Schools choir director, is leading the community chorus. Mrs. Susan Larcey and Mr. John Wallrabenstein are accompanists. There are six rehearsals, Wednesdays May 28, June 4, 11, 18 and 25, and July 2, 7-9 p.m. in the sanctuary of Trinity United Methodist Church, on the corner of Second Street and Adams Street, Port Clinton. 

The patriotic concert will be at 8 p.m. in Trinity United Methodist Church on Friday, July 4, followed by the Independence Day fireworks display. The repertoire will include the National Anthem, the Battle Hymn of the Republic and Oscar Peterson’s Hymn to Freedom. The choir is open to all singers. Call 419-734-1239 to register for the chorus, sign in at rehearsal.
