EAA’s Ford Tri-Motor has returned to Port Clinton Featured

EAA Tin Goose Chapter 1247 invites you to step back in time and experience the Golden Age of aviation when they host rides in a beautifully restored 1929 Ford Tri-Motor this July 1-6. Rides will depart from the Liberty Aviation Museum complex, 3515 E. State Road, Port Clinton. 

Tri-Motor rides will be available July 1 from 1-5 p.m. and July 2-6 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Adult ticket prices are $70 in advance ($75 at event) and $50 for children. Advance tickets may be purchased via EAA’s secure web site or by calling 1-877-952-5395. Walk-in tickets will be available at the event.

A portion of each ticket sold will go directly to Chapter 1247 which has been working nearly 10 years on the restoration of their Ford Tri-Motor which used to fly passengers & freight between the mainland and Lake Erie islands.

While on the premises, visitors won’t want to miss all the interesting displays at Liberty Aviation Museum. All those who take a flight on the Tin Goose can use their boarding pass to receive a discounted admission. 

Museum displays include Chapter 1247’s Tri-Motor restoration project, Liberty’s B-25 bomber Georgie’s Gal, and numerous aviation & WWII displays.
